Art Journal

Het is al weer een hele tijd geleden dat ik in m'n ArtJournal heb gewerkt, om precies te zijn was dat op 20 januari!!! Ooit had ik me voorgenomen om mee te doen aan de prompts op "One year in the life of an Art Journal" maar daar kwam dus helemaal niets van, maar ik heb besloten om nu toch maar met terugwerkende kracht aan de slag te gaan en tijdens de scrapochtend bij Birgit Koopsen afgelopen woensdag, ben ik aan de slag gegaan met de prompt "Bird" en dit is het resultaat waar ik zelf trouwens erg blij mee ben.

It's been quite a while since I last worked in my ArtJournal, 9 months ago actually!! I wanted to participate in the prompts on "One year in the life of an ArtJournal" but somehow never got around to it. This week I decided to still give it a go. This is my take on the prompt "Bird" I'm quite pleased with it and am looking forward to continue and finally fill up my artjournal.

Eerste poging / First attempt

Scrappen doe ik sinds 2005 en door de jaren heen, ben ik me steeds meer gaan interesseren voor free style en Mixed Media. Overal zag ik de Art Journals voorbij komen en toen begon het bij mij ook te kriebelen, ik wilde ook knoeien met gesso, verf, gel medium. Ik begon vorig jaar voorzichtig met collages maken, maar ja, ik wilde wel meer maar vond het ook doodeng, want ik vind het vreselijk als het niet zo wordt als ik in m'n hoofd heb, en dat moet ik dus loslaten.
Dus vanochtend heb ik m'n eerste poging gewaagd nav deze Wednesday Inspiration van Donna Downey en dit is het resultaat (helaas kun je niet zien dat ik glimmermist heb gebruikt)

I started scrapbooking in 2005, Over the years I started more techniques and became more and more interested in freestyle and Mixed Media. I saw beautiful Art Journals on the net and wanted to do that too. Play with paint and gesso and stamps and, and, and. But I'm also scared of making misstakes or a mess of things. So last year I started with collaging and really liked it. Slowly I started using more techniques and now I want to have an Art Journal too.
Thanks to this Wednesday Inspiration video by Donna Downey I made a first attempt this morning. Such a shame Glimmermist doesn't show on photo's
